My Time

My People,

Mom says I am 14.
That really means little to me.
I have a very hard time getting up.
Mom is always after me to eat.
I hurt a lot sometimes.
Mom says I keep biting her.
I don't mean to.

Mom keeps singing:
"Do your hips hang low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie them in a knot?
Can you tie them in a bow?
Do your hips hang low?

Now that is just mean people!
But Mom is Mom.

Mom says it is my time.
Don't worry my people.
I am fine waiting at heavens gate for each of you.
I will greet you with love in my finest German Sheppard splendor.
Don't worry. Dad will be OK.
And Mom is Mom.
I love you, my people.

My People,

I thought I would say "Hi." 

I knew you would want to celebrate my birthday. 

I am twelve. 

Old in doggie years. 

Life is good. I stay busy. 

Dad has been forever trying to get me to retire from barking and digging, 

But I still do the important doggie work. 

It does take me a little longer to stand up these days, 

But I still can get up faster than Mom can.

I say J is multi-tasking.

Retire?

Dad says I am an old enough Doggie to retire. 

He wants me to retire from 

"Barking" 

And maybe 

"Digging". 

These are important Doggie jobs. 

I am just not sure about this.

Grand pup..

Mom says we have a new grand pup, Freya.
She lives with my oldest brother and my favorite girl friend, Libby. Libby sends pictures of Freya. Mom is going to have to figure out how to get them off her phone so she can show you the adorable and young Freya.

Listen up People. 

I had been expecting Freja for weeks. 

Her Mom came with her Sisters and Dad. 

She brought me a Scarf that Freja wore. 

And she let Martha And Annie wear it too. 

She showed me and let me sniff as long as I wanted. 

Then she tied the Scarf to my crib so my friends are always with me even when 

I am waiting for Mom. 

Her people were so nice to me. 

They were always rubbing me and telling me 

"You are so beautiful and good" 

What girl would not love that?

I cried big, Big tears when they left. 

I told Mom I was going to tunnel to Freja's house so she can come and play with me.

Sadie is a five year old pit-bull.

She is obedient to commands. 

She is gentle and loving, unless she chases squirrels.

She loves playing with children and rolling on the floor with them. 

Never bites them, even when they put their hands in her mouth.

She loves walks, hot weather, and sunbathing in the patio. 

She gets very excited when she gets her cheese treat but she also loves peanut butter spread on her kongball. By, Constantine.

Last week I mentioned

My People 

That Mom was missing. 

Dad found her and brought her home late one evening. 

She was a little harried but mostly OK. 

If you People see her out wandering about 

Please bring her back. 

I have her pretty well trained to feed and water me. 

She let's me out and plays with me. 

While she was gone my brother and sister were here with me. 

We have a lot of fun and do things we can never tell Mom about. 

Still, I sorta miss Mom.

My dad got me. 

I am not sure what I am to do with

But he is excited about them.

Multi tasking

I was very busy announcing to all my doggie buddies 

That I was coming out. 

Mom stopped me. 

There was a man talking on a cell phone across the street. 

He had his back to us holding a red leash.

His doggie was sniffing a bush. 

Soon the man bent over 

And collected an easter egg 

in a blue bag. 

Then he picked up his coffee cup from the street. 

Mom and Dad were roaring in laughter. 

I did not get what was so funny. 

All I could figure out was 

The Doggie was spending way too much 

Time sniffing only one bush.

My People, 

Please tell me what is up with Mom? 

Everyday while she Gulps coffee and taps on the computer 

I sit quietly beside her ready to write. 

I have been waiting for three days. 

I feel so much better when my writing is complete for the week 

And 

I can get back to doggie stuff like Barking at Birds, 

Keeping the neighbors stepping lively past me, 

Doing my yoga. 

Enjoying cool winter weather while on patrol

And 

Napping in the sun beams. 

Well Ok. 

She is accepting Dictation now. 

I am going to do my yoga.
